Other than the Aids what level is it wrong on tom? I mean outside of aids there is nothing here that Kevin Jennings would consider report worthy..
No. It is illegal, and it should be for a teacher to have sex with a student.
1) Age of consent laws should be equally enforced and applied.
2) I'm against creating criminal penalties for HIV positive persons, as they can be impossible to validate. It will just turn into a 'he said, she said" thing. That being said if it happens in the course of sexual activity that is also illegal, then it can be used as an enhancement, especially in the case of an infection (rather than simple exposure)
Actually, for me I'm more upset with the teacher student sex thing. If the kid gets infected with HIV, then that changes the story. There's no issue with unequal enforcement. Those laws are applied and enforced a LOT here in Texas for straight sexual acts.
There's a reason that the age of consent does not allow secondary teachers to have sex with students in their school.
I know you guys hate GLSEN. That is over. They're going to be in every school in the high school in the country. I didn't like Jenning's Book, but I have no complaints about GLSEN.
