Virginia Tech---------------------Virginia
Florida State---------------------N Carolina
Boston College-------------------Duke

As a Hokies fan, I certainly have no major problem with this alignment, although it's basically the old Big East plus Florida State.

Still not better than North/South with Miami in the North - but that requires some permanent cross-overs (Miami-FSU, UNC-NC St, and Duke-Wake at minimum).

Rule change to allow playing fewer than 6 games within the division is the only way to go. Skip 2 teams per year in division, add 2 more rotating from the other division, call it a day.

No thanks on the old Big East. FSU would have joined the Big East if they wanted to deal with all of those NE trips. Just adds Pittsburgh to BC/Cuse to make it even worse.

And a good conference shouldnt give the worst possible lineup to its best football program. That you lined up FSU without Clemson makes it even worse.

Total DERP on my part! Fixed, but still unacceptable (I agree with you)

a 5-1-2 format if keeping divisions is decided should be the play. Skip 1 division team per year

I agree that this is where we are probably going if he NCAA approves our CCG resolution.

RE: David Teel proposed division change
you would also see the other division teams once every 3 years except for permanent rival which is yearly

Exactly. This is what makes it so attractive.

Good luck separating Clemson from NC State

Good luck separating UNC/UVa/Duke from each other AND two of those three from Georgia Tech

This is the fly in the ointment -- Wake needs to be separated from either NC State or Duke on an annual basis to make a division realignment work.

NC State would put up more of a fight than Clemson. Everything I have been told is we would vehemently fight losing GT and FSU annually. No other team was mentioned.
