Toledo's marketing staff is the class of the conference. when you have partnerships with 3 professional sports franchises that are not based in the state your institution is; that is tremendous.
Cannot believe that Northern Illinois does not have relationships developed with the Chicago Wolves(Ice Hockey) Schaumburg (Frontier League Baseball) Joliet (Frontier League baseball)

Nice, BUT......you're talking about the FORD family, and the L-I-O-N-S. Not something I would want a winning program to attach its name to, unless, of course, you're going to play them. In that event, I'd go with UT for the win.

I don't know, with Toledo's secondary Calvin Johnson might have a field day. LOL
But it is great to see U of Toledo ad's during major sporting events in Detroit with the World Series and the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Plus I know with each power play goal for the Red Wings, the Red Wings donate to the UT Scholarship fund for Michigan Residents, and the Tigers do the same thing with Home Runs I think as well.

Love watching highlights on the news of the baseball games and seeing the UT banner on the wall. Hopefully placement is in a similarly good location for football.

So of course, the question is...ain't Detroit in Eastern Michigan University's back yard?

That is true but Eastern Michigan is in Toledo's back yard. It took me 35 minutes to get to the Convo Center in Ypsilanti in February from my place which is right near UT.
For perspective, the distance from Toledo to Detroit as 53 miles and distance from Dekalb to Chicago as 64 miles.
