Did you say the same about UCF last year or are you just singling out the additions you dislike?

I agree with him though, you can never have enough talent. I like our guys right now, they're Pirates through and through...but we need to recruit a higher quality of basketball player than we historically have (which we are doing, but could improve even more).

One thing I am happy about is recruits saying our head coach in waiting is a big factor for them. Dude doesn't smile or talk but I will take it.

and we haven't been the last 4 years since Lebo has been here.
Average RPI the last 4 years for the last senior class that just graduated
AAC
27 Memphis
31 UConn
37 Cincy
66 Temple
99 Tulsa
110 UCF
141 ECU
148 USF
174 SMU
197 Houston
220 Tulane
I don't think talent is the issue. I think we've had better talent than even our success would indicated. I question more why the hell Lebo had elite players like Kemp and Richmond on the bench half the game as Juniors and do believe it cost us. Still even with that we haven't been a bottom feeder and the talent has been solid regardless of recruiting rankings. You can't tell me a player like Kemp, Richmond, Paul, Sampson etc couldn't play.

UConn, Memphis, SMU, Cincy are all going to consistent top 25-30 programs under their current coaches.
Temple could join that group above if Dunphy recruits better or they hire a proven recruiter as an asst or head coach.
Tulsa and ECU both seem to have a good nucleus, but I'm not sold on either of their coaches.
Houston has tradition and a great recruiting base. Their commitment to KS should pay dividends soon. Hope he can get their fans energized.
Not sure what to make of either of the FLA schools or Tulane over the next couple of years. Gonna take OA some time in Tampa and UCF has to deal with some sanctions still. Not trying to take a dig at Tulane, but I don't know who their coach is nor could I name a player on their current roster.
Most of the schools seem to be investing heavily in their programs and that is great for the league. So much more fun when there are multiple good teams as opposed to when Memphis won 60 or 70 CUSA games in a row. I know this sounds stupid-- winning is awesome, but there is some degree of boredom when 20+ games a season the only question at tip off is how many you win by.
If things play out properly Temple could have a nice dose of steroids coming soon in the way of recruiting help. Just some rumors floating around out there at this point but if it works out it will definitely help get the more polished upper level recruits that Temple has been missing out on to North Broad St. It can only help.

ECU got to start bringing in some high 3* and 4* recruits to be competitive. I don't want to have see an automatic win on Memphis's schedule every season. I want a competitor ECU. Lebo needs to be fired

Lebo has given ECU its most success ever in basketball since he's gotten here. He's recruiting at the highest level in ECU history...
ECU isn't exactly a dream job for high-profile coaches... so, who would you suggest, if not Lebo?
I couldn't be happier than I am with having Jeff Lebo as head basketball coach. He's changing the basketball culture at ECU.
Those on the outside who suggest Lebo should be fired know little to nothing about ECU's basketball history, or the tale of the past 3 seasons.

So what about Memphis football coach Fuente? Lebo has had much more success as the head coach of the ECU basketball team than Fuente has had as the head coach of the Memphis football team and this despite the fact that Fuente makes more money than Lebo. So using your own rationale shouldn't Fuente be fired if he doesn't at least get Memphis to a bowl game (6-6 record)?
