Weather.com's "future" radar predictions show some pretty intense cells in the Rice area from about 1 pm through 2:30 (the limit of the current prediction).

I hope it's inaccurate.

Unfortnately:

We are now in a lightening delay for A&M-GMU. Infield was nearly complete, but we are in a 30 minute hold

Tarp is in unrolled, but not yet deployed over infield. In place if needed

A new lightening strike restarts the clock and the tarp is now coming on the field.

Weather.com's "future" radar predictions show stormy weather near Rice until about 5 p.m.

1220pm Sunday. Heavy downpour in near Memorial @ Gessner, about 10 miles from the Reck.

I can't find this cell on the radar map at weather.com, but huge puddles in the back yard attest that it is real

RE: Houston weather
The movement of the storms (SE to NW) makes it look like me that the low pressure has moved a bit south into south Louisiana (as compared to north Louisiana). Again, Baton Rouge looking really bad on the radar. I could see that day being just about a complete washout. I don't know if that would help UH or not. It probably would help SE Louisiana a bit.

But disclaimer - IANAM

Chron's weather shows the storm in Memorial moving northwest into Jersey Village.

Sure would be good for our arms if we could get delayed for a day
