No offense but I always find this a strange sort of statement.

South Florida - Saturday Nov. 22nd - Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (W) 4-7
UConn - Saturday Nov. 29th - Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium (W) 5-7

So I'll go with 5-7 overall, 4-4 in conference...

Note:I changed my mind about SMU and Temple from my vote in the poll above...

I was at the MTSU game last year and Memphis was the much superior team. Numerous dropped passes and a massive number of penalties which the team filed an official complaint about were the factors. They still lost in the last few minutes despite all that. It won't be close at home. I think they go 6-6.

Hahahahaha!!! You guys have won one game is the series and you were lucky to win that one. I don't see you winning anymore. You're right it won't be close. We will win by three touchdowns.

We should have won that game. The refs were the worst ever. I was at the game.

Not to mention, Fuente has done an incredible job rebuilding from the very bottom. This year 3 and the first time all out scholarships are filled. I think we will destroy MTSU.

I usually don't make excuses but his statement was true. It was pitiful on so many levels.

I do not usually make a statement like that as well. Everyone sees their team as "robbed" in close games. However, if you had been at this game you would understand. Here is a quote from the MTSU website. the biggest strongpoint for Middle Tennessee as the Raiders had just three penalties for 30 yards. In contrast, Memphis committed 15 penalties for 145 yards.
I posted this only as a response to why someone should not predict a win by MTSU at Memphis this year. Indications by the last game as a two point win by MTSU at home in front of one of their largest crowds of the season on a last minute field goal with 145 yards in penalties on the opposition, does not indicate a win against Memphis.

Tennessee was he superior team in 1996, but we beat them based on a number of mistakes by their offense and a couple of big plays.

See, it works both ways. Nothing strange about it. The superior team does not always win. Any given day any team can win.

We should be bowl eligible. we took some good teams to the wire last year the just kinda said eff it in the last 2 games.

I think Memphis could legit win 7-8 games this year. They had a really improved team last year and were competitive in every game vs. top AAC teams.

I think that UCLA will stomp them but Ole Miss will be a good gauge.

I think I picked pretty well...I had no idea SMU would tank after going 5-7 the year before.

This Tiger team really impressed me.
