Exclamation Canes/Gators may play again
According to FBSchedules.com, Miami and Florida are close to signing a deal to play at a neutral site (think Orlando) - LINK.

Surprising if Florida sacks up again. Not surprising that they still rarely wil leave Florida OOC.

Now if only the other SEC schools would sack up and play FSU (looking at Georgia who turned down a neutral site game in Atlanta)

They could always play a neutral site game at Sun-Life!

That might give UF too much of a home field advantage.
ZING!

Ask yourself this question: If Miami would have lost to UF last year, would UF's AD be this open to agree to do a rematch game?

The Gators would need to win 3 in a row to tie the series, IIRC.

If UF keeps the same coach, I could see Miami winning the next 3, TBH

Be good to see it happen. I think its terrible when major in-state programs don't play each other ala Pitt-Penn State. I really don't love it between bordering states either ala Penn State with basically any of its neighbors not named Syracuse, even then that's only recently. (That does change obviously with Rutgers and Maryland starting next year.)

So, which border-state NON-CONFERENCE P5 teams do you think Rutgers needs to play?

Excellent trick question! Since every state technically owns a piece of DC, every state technically borders Maryland and Virginia. That fact opens the door for a yearly Rutgers v. VPI "border war" series!

Except Rutgers is in New Jersey, not Maryland.

The Gators don't care about trying to tie up the series. They just want to get one last win before they say to Miami "thanks, but no thanks". As long as Foley is there, that's always going to be UF's M.O.

But "every state" borders Virginia. So technically Oregon could be a border war.

That was his reasoning.

I'd like to see a regular rotation of Cuse, Pitt, and although they don't directly border us UConn, BC, WVU, UVA, VT. I'd be happy to see Temple on there sometimes as well. (And that's already been given a 4 game set.)

Good deal...I'm moving to the Tampa Bay area next year. It will be nice to take in the game. Green...can you get me in the Miami section? Take in some Cuban Food and watch some hoops.

Now more importantly...how about that FB series?

Dare I say "TampaMark," or perhaps "TexasTampaMark" and/or "TampaTexasMark?"

Hopefully there aren't as many Cuse fans there next year, like there were this time... Haha! 05-stirthepot

I hope you enjoy your visit to the U. If you've never been it is a wonderful place to look at. I live right there and every day I am amazed it is so beautiful.
