Wins vs Memphis in CUSA.
Houston - 5
UAB - 3
UTEP - 3
USM - 3
SMU - 2
Marshall - 1
Tulsa - 1
Rice - 1
ECU - 1
UCF - 1
Tulane - 1

Houston annoyed me the most.. they love to upset us.
Even did it this year with probably less people at the game than my HS.

I wish Memphis was still around, the annal win in football would have been nice.

It's like I said before many schools who left come over here to simply say "Haha we got in and you didn't." Not all of them but some of them. Anyway...

What makes it hilarious is that they actually had a thread on the AAC board a while back about "Why do people on the boards of other conferences seem to dislike us?" Uh, maybe because your fans make a point of going to other boards and acting like a-holes?

I wouldn't be too concerned with what they think. The P5 schools think the same of them that they think of us.

Don't worry, I'm not. I head over there for the soccer thread, but the frequent "Why we are not part of the G4" threads are pretty funny and completely lacking in self awareness. Granted they had a great year this year, can't argue with the scoreboard. But it's one year.

no one from what iv seen including myself started a convo with y'all. all what has been said from AAC fans are responses from what someone from the CUSA board has said that has something to do with us.

I read many topics on many boards and never comment but I often reply to post that involve our

& don't forget most of us were in CUSA for years before y'all. I can speak for myself and say I respect CUSA highly.

Y'all are crazy.

CUSA 3.4 or whatever the hell is gonna be fantastic.

I have no doubt that the conference will be a perennial #1 or #2 in the so-called "Gang of Five". Basketball was awesome this year, and better next year.

The biggest problem we have is worrying about when the P5 eventually renders the G5 nationally irrelevant.

But I don't think that the AAC would touch any remanding leftover or new cusa schools with a 10 inch pole as of right now. they got what they wanted already. The only way I can see that happen is if it was there last option after being raided by P5 conferences.

Hard to take any Memphis fan seriously regarding realignment, your logic is beyond flawed, but keep saying it enough and you may convince someone other than yourself.

I heard the borderline P5 schools are being announced on Tuesday, where's the watch party in Memphis?

don't get mad, you'll be just fine in CUSA. be glad it's not the SBC.

I wish you the best of luck though fellow tennessean . .

I'm not the least bit mad, I am however thoroughly amused by your delusions of grandeur and your attempted misdirection through condescension. If it weren't for your MBB MT would be the undeniably better program over the last decade.

But thanks for your well wishes... 07-coffee3

I don't believe memphis is really better of a program than MT even with basketball. I think we're on about the same level when you consider other sports too. I just think we over the years are a lot more of a brand name from our success. we get attention for basketball, and it really has carried us. maybe even one day we will expand our football and try to keep a constant decent team because of the opportunity basketball made with money ect. (what we're working on now)

MT has great roads ahead. CUSA has been apart of growing many many athletic departments into great P5 schools. I have no doubt MT is one of the schools ready to sprout.

& I'm not sucking up to you or anything, I honestly believe this.

can't tell you any positives on a national level since espn is ramming the top conferences down the throats of the sheeple to the point none of us matter.

the positives for western are:

rekindled rivalry with middle. goes back to ovc and sunbelt days.
rekindled hoops rivalries with uab and uncc and odu (extra points for having doogie howser a.d.)
possible new rivalry with marshall who has great name recognition and is a reachable road game.
possible hoops rivalry with utep.
a football conference we should be competitive in from day one.

That doesn't work for college sports. There is a best conference, and there are actual schools that get to participate in it.

That is certainly one way to look at the matter. There are others.
