If so, not surprising. I know he had the injury issue but often he just appeared to be going through the motions on the floor. Very gifted athlete but he never seemed to have a game where it all came together and gave us a glimpse of greatness. I would hope he'd stay and develop and if he chooses to leave I wish him well.

I was actually really encouraged by Lawrence last year. His offense was not there yet though you saw the skill level that made you think it could translate. What impressed me was I thought he really bought in on defense and was able to hold his own on that end when he was on the floor. A lot of freshman don't do that.

Who cares. Tons of guys come into college and screw up, if they haven't already in high school. Giving people multiple chances is a part of life. If he screws up again, Cronin can show him the door.
