hmmm. From a personal standpoint I think that blows . But I get the whole national exposure on ESPN2 vs. a back burner game on a Saturday . This now gives us 3 Saturday games 2 fridays and 1 Thursday at PBS

I LOVE Thursday night games at Nippert. Will be interested to see if it works at PBS. Might have to give it a try.
Downside is that the schedule is starting to look like one of those pathetic MAC all weeknight schedules. Welcome to the AAC!

That really, really sucks for me.
Was planning to see Peter Hook & the Light in Detroit that night. He is covering all the material in both New Order's albums Low Life and Brotherhood. He actually serves as his own warm-up act doing a collection of Joy Division songs.
Thankfully, the tix had not gone on sale yet. Looks like Chicago the next night may be my only drive-able option.

Television ratings will stink... NFL(Buffalo v. Miami) will be on at the same time and what ever is on ESPN (basketball?). I see that USC v. Cal is playing that night as well.

This sucks. The AAC sucks. Toledo on Friday. USF on Friday. Now ECU on Thursday. On the road Tulane on Friday. I will go but what is next?
Does anyone know when changing dates is over?

Had I known this I may not have renewed my season tickets.... If anyone would like to purchase my two tickets to this game please let me know. It is not easy having to travel to these games on work nights.

Of course the album "Low Life" may be aptly named in this case with our existence in the AAC. Good job UC leadership....past and present.

Too bad it wasn't the Memphis game that was moved instead. Then I could have added that game to the list of ones I could attend.

RE: UC vs ECU moved to Thursday, 11/13, ESPN2
The thing I find so discouraging about this is the impact upon attendance. UC has been steadily building great fan support at Nippert with mostly Saturday games during the Big East years. It's almost impossible to draw the same crowds on a weeknight during the school year.
What's frustrating to me is the crowds will look small on national TV and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy for naysayers, "UC can't get into a P5 because they don't draw fans." The fact is the attendance has been very good @ PBS for recent games on Saturdays against quality opponents. Many P5 state flagship universities would have large numbers of empty seats on a Thursday night too; they're dependent on folks driving in from the hinterlands to tailgate and fill the stadium for a Saturday event. But they don't have to face that circumstance--they're already in the country club and don't have to play on Thursdays. If they did, they wouldn't worry about attendance with their TV revenue stream in place. We're in a tough spot right now.

To compare this year's weekday schedule to those in the past-
2014
Friday- Toledo 9/12, USF 10/24, @Tulane 10/31
Thursday- ECU 11/13
2013
Friday- Temple 10/11
Thursday- UL 12/5
Wed- @ Memphis 10/30
2012
Friday- @ UL 10/26, USF 11/23
Thursday- Pitt 9/6
2011
Thursday- NC State 9/22
2010
Friday- @UL 10/15, USF 10/22
Thursday- @NC State 9/16
2009
Friday- WVU 11/13, Ill 11/27 (Black Friday)
Thursday- @USF 10/15
Monday- @ Rutgers 9/7
2008
Friday- @ Marshall 10/3, @ UL 11/4
Thursday- EKU 8/28, USF 10/30
So we have had 2 home weekday games in 4 of the 6 previous seasons. Seems that our average is 2 weekday games per season. Maybe it is because we boost ESPN's ratings on the weekdays

In this case, I would say that out of town fans, who have already renewed, have a point.

I don't think anybody knew the schedule before you re-upped.
Give the tickets to a customer or a friend if you can't/don't want to go.

Better than being the AAC game of the week at noon on regional TV which would have been a likely landing spot for this game had it not been moved.
