13 of the Grizzlies 32 losses happened when he was injured. They were 10-13 without him and 40-19 with him. Exactly a guy you should trade.
playing without him is different than trading him for a better player..

you guys do know what trade means right??

Some of the better NBA centers:
-Demarcus Cousins
-Andrew Bogut
-Omar Asik
-Al Jefferson
-Tyson Chandler
-Brook Lopez
-Robin Lopez
-Roy Hibbert
-Al Hofford
-Joakim Noah
-Dwight Howard

So who would you trade for? Sacramento probably wouldn't move Cousins. Chicago wouldn't move Noah. Charlotte probably wouldn't move Jefferson. Even if they would Jefferson doesn't play defense. I am sure that Indiana will trade Hibbert. Is he better than Gasol? Nope. Houston might trade Asik. Is he better? No way. So that would leave the often injured Tyson Chandler or one of the Lopez brothers. Would you really rather have one of them? C'mon.

It's still dumb to even think about trading Gasol. His salary doesn't keep you from adding pieces around him. He plays defense, rebounds and has both a face up and a post game. He is also a very good facilitator. He is consistently ranked in the top 5 of best centers in the league. Sometimes he does disappear and defer to his teammates instead of taking a shot but if I could only keep 2 players from this team I would keep him and Conley.

We are talking about real life Marc Gasol, not 2k Marc. He does not rebound nor does he have a post game. He also doesn't block shots his role on defense is to tell the guys in the front where to be so they can do all the real defending.

He is not a center you build your franchise around because he acts as if he is a pg on both offense and defense. The OP is right he needs to go because he will bring in the biggest return. Trade him for a young athletic big who will block shots rebound score in the post occasionally, plus draft pics and I'm positive there wont be much of a difference.

So, give us some trade scenarios.

Trading Marc makes no sense. It especially makes no sense in the absence of a trade scenario. It's one thing to say "Trade Marc for someone better", it's another to give a plausible example of a trade where we land "someone better".

Gasol > Cousins. He's fun to watch if he's not yours. Add 1 more T to this year. He was automatically suspended when he reached 16.

Good grief you are an idiot. The only blazer that has anything to do with anything would be if Memphis meets up with the Trailblazers. Who I root for in college has nothing to do with anything.

Many Tiger fans here hated the Grizzlies until they jumped on the winning bandwagon.

If Grizz trade Gasol I'll never watch another nba game. The way that game was officiated last night almost drove me to it last night.

I'm talking about this ridiculous notion that this forum wasn't "made" for Blazer fans. It seems awfully petty to tell a Grizzly fan they shouldn't be here because they don't root for the other exact same teams you do. This board would be better off if more people came here to talk Grizz.

I know better than to get involved in a back in forth with you. I'll leave it up to the moderators to decide who can and can't post here. Everyone is welcome, in my book.

This forum has become more enjoyable than the forum on the Griz website to me. If you didn't have Blazer in your name and wasn't a regular poster, they'd have no idea you weren't a tiger fan.

Anyone who wants the limit the perspectives and opinions is someone who enjoys blissful ignorance.

i have never seen a center that will not get in the paint and work. He will literally set 5-6 screens in a row before he even touches the paint. A center with his size and skill should be averaging 20-25 points and 10 rebounds. He's the opposite of grit and grind!

get rid of him now before the rest of the league finds out
