I don't care who he donated money to 20 years ago.

Just like Marge was forced out of baseball, he'll be forced out of basketball.

So Memphis, what is your position on Louis Farrakhan?

I don't know who that is...but I think Sharpton is a racist too if that makes you feel better.

I see you're going to play the ignorance card throughout this thread. You know exactly who Louis Farrakhan is. If you didn't you wouldn't have added Sharpton's name to your post.

I have no idea who Louis Farrakhan is...I know who Ferrakohn Hall is...

of course you don't, indoctrinated little millennial.

That's not a basketball player and you are a prime example of an indoctrinated millennial.

RE: NBA's LA Clippers owner is in deep over racist tirade
Here is the text of the conversation. It doesn't sound to bad to me, he even says Magic Johnson should be admired. It appears to me that the ***** baited Sterling into saying what he said, why else would she be recording the conversation?

Quote:The conversation is allegedly between Donald Sterling and his girlfriend, who goes by the name V. Stiviano, who identifies herself as part Mexican and part African American.
VS: I wish I could change the skin. The color of my skin
DS: That isn't the issue. You've missed the issue.
VS: What's the issue?
DS: The issue is we don't have to broadcast everything.
VS: I'm not broadcasting anything. I don't do anything wrong.
DS: Why are you taking pictures with minorities... why?
The conversation centered around a now-deleted photo that Stiviano put on Instagram of herself and Magic Johnson (pictured)

The conversation centered around a now-deleted photo that Stiviano put on Instagram of herself and Magic Johnson (pictured)
VS: What's wrong with minorities? What's wrong with black people?
DS: Nothing, nothing, nothing.
VS: What's wrong with Hispanics?
DS: It's like talking to an enemy. There's nothing wrong with minorities, they're fabulous. Fabulous. Because you're an enemy to me.
VS: Why?
DS: Because you don't understand.
VS: I don't understand what?
DS: Nothing, nothing.
VS: That racism still is a lie?
DS: No but there's a culture.
VS: What culture?
DS: People feel certain things. Hispanics feel certain things towards blacks. Blacks feel certain things towards other groups. It's been that way historically and it will always be that way.
VS: But it's not that way in my heart and in my mind.
DS: But maybe you want to adjust to the world.
DS: Yea it bothers me a lot that you want to broadcast that you're associated with black people. Do you have to?
VS: You associate with black people.
DS: I'm not you and you're not me. You're supposed to be a delicate white or a delicate Latina girl.
VS: I'm a mixed girl.
DS: Ok well.
VS: And you're in love with me. And I'm black and Mexican. Whether you like it or not. Whether the world accepts it or not. And you're asking me to remove.... you want me to have hate towards black people?
DS: I don't want you to have hate. That's what people do- they turn things around. I want you to love them- privately. In your whole life, everyday you can be with them. Every single day of your life.
VS: But not in public?
DS: But why publicize it on the Instagram and why bring it to my games?
VS: I can't believe that a man who's educated, a man who's a scholar, a man...
DS: Well believe it, and stop talking about it. Let's finish our discussion with a period, ok?
VS: I took a picture with someone I admire (Magic Johnson).
DS: Good
VS: He happens to be black, and I'm sorry.
DS: I think the fact that you admire him- I've known him well, and he should be admired. And I'm just saying that it's too bad you can't just admire him privately, and during your entire f****** life, your whole life- admire him, bring him here, feed him, f*** him, I don't care. You can do anything. But don't put him on an Instagram for the world to have to see so they have to call me. And don't bring him to my games, OK?

Link

And then there's this:

In the meantime, a lawsuit filed by Sterling’s estranged wife of 50 years Rochelle claims to show how the Clipper’s owner treated his girlfriend before the apparent row – by lavishing her with a series of gifts including a Ferrari, two Bentleys, a Range Rover and a $1.4million apartment.

The owner will be bought out at a fair price and a new owner, who is tolerant of all races, will be brought in.

The NBA benefits and gets rid of a crappy and cheap owner.

RE: NBA's LA Clippers owner is in deep over racist tirade
If the league forces Donald Sterling out, he'll probably walk away with close to $1 billion. You can't revoke a franchise or take over a team under this circumstance. The only way they'd force him out is by a negotiated buy-out. The other owners are no doubt reluctant to take over a team.

I'd say the best course is letting the fans and players determine the future. That probably won't happen because the media needs something to sell advertising.

Also, 2 things bother me about this besides the repugnant comments. This recording was a private conversation in a private residence. Second, this recording was produced by some skank who is trying to extort Donald Sterling.

Maybe there were no blacks or gays on the Malaysian airliner.

I pasted the conversation in post 87. What part do you find repugnant? Keep in mind I have no audio on this computer and have to trust the transcript of what I posted.

I did read it before I posted and I believe I understand the context it was said. In the greater picture, the comments are certainly mitigated. I also understand that some would find the comments offensive.

I'll make the point to say I don't agree with Donald Sterling, and perhaps the word "repugnant" was stronger than I should have used. He's obviously more concerned about his image and his skanky girlfriend than any actual concerns about black people at Clippers games.

Personally, I frankly don't give a crap what Donald Sterling has to say about anything. It's hypocritical for me to hold him to a standard that I don't hold others.
