I think this is the goal- The NBA wants to rid themselves of this owner because he is cheap. This is the NBA's out.

It's just a weird, almost psychopathic mindset where you have a multi-billionaire making money off black athletes (who granted are paid handsomely on their own), and an 80-year-old with a half-black, half-latino girlfriend who can't stand those races otherwise.

He's already said he's not going to their next playoff game tomorrow in the Bay Area. With the new NBA commissioner's reputation on the line, I bet you that Sterling will be banned from attending all NBA games. Maybe they can't force him to sell his team, but they can ban him from the games. The only way Sterling avoids that is if he can prove it's not his voice.

How would the NBA enforce a ban? They could fine him but what if he doesn't pay? Are there real enforcement mechanisms in the NBA?

Marge Schott was banned by MLB for 2 seasons.

But still, what if Sterling just flipped off the NBA and ignored them, then what, lawsuits?

Oh, and Obama has added his 2 cents. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/presi...ist-042614

No, I mad because I'm tired of the sensitive weaklings surrounding professional sports. I'm tired of the media and their racism scandals and I'm tired of professional sports dictating our culture.

Grow a pair, man up, who cares what he said...deal with it.

It's the main story on Google. Big bold headings all over the top page. All the major outlets are carrying the story. Had this owner been black and this been about white people, it wouldn't even be acknowledged by the media.

I hope the NBA tries but not just because he deserves it.

I'd like to see a test case on how far a sports league can go to eliminate an owner. There is probably some clause regarding financial malfeasence and/or other criminal activity that gives the NBA some leeway. But can they kick you out for being ignorant? I wonder. If they had some latitude in getting rid of owners, I suspect they'd have booted Mark Cuban years ago.

So now we live in a World were what you say in the privacy of your own home can cost you everything.

Sounds like communism to me.

I don't know what you are referring to.

The bottom line is that this was said in the privacy of his own home, and the fact that Obama stuck his nose in it just reinforces the kind of country the left wants us to live in.

I certainly hope these so called moderates who are worried about drug laws, the NSA and griping about the GOP figure out that we cannot afford to allow democrats to win elections any more.

Nope, because it's not done by the government. Public opinion is the harshest court in the land and it is probably the most free market thing we have.

Take any info assurance class and you'll realize that there is no such thing as privacy when you let your messages leave that home by phone line or wireless means.

Also, Republicans in office wouldn't have stopped him for saying what he did, being recorded, and having that leaked to TMZ. The only thing different is that they may not have mentioned it.

Don't lecture me on taking classes, Mr lower the drinking age.

This is the social engineering tactics that the Obama admin has been using with the NFL. This was scripted dialogue that is being used to create more racial tension. This is not real. Just like the Obama admin and govt created the OWS movement. It is part of the divide and conquer campaign. It's like the WWE only the general public doesn't understand it's fake.
