I realize they have a lot of work to do putting these articles together for 128 schools, but leaving Marcus Cox, who might be the most talented RB in the Sun Belt next season, out of the section of our strengths is quite the oversight.

We're not the third worst FBS team in 2014.

Uh, no... but other than the bolded part, I do agree with you. I even agree that leaving Cox out is a big oversight. But unless he averaged over 8 yards/carry and was an All-America last year, he will not be the most talented RB in the SBC; among the most talented, maybe.

Hence the use of the qualifier "might."

But anyway, yeah. He's the most explosive player on the offense. No mention of him shows how remedial his research was. I won't be losing any sleep over this.

He did carry the team through the first win last year, literally had the team on his back.

I believe a new ranking comes out each day until a month before kickoff. May not have gotten to you yet.

Thanks, I can't read good01-wingedeagle, thought the whole list was published, but it makes way more sense to serialize it leading up to FB season.

App State Orlando Sentinel Ranking
Another thing of note on this review is the lack of attention paid to the fact we only lost a small number of starters and the second half of the season when the team had committed to Scott's way of playing was when we won all but one of the games we did, I think people are too stuck on the record to see all the good things, which is silly since last year was a lame duck year.

We have the Lyndell White/Reggie Bush combo in the Belt with Alonzo Harris and Elijah McGuire.

I agree, Hap. Even if we were coming off a successful season I would say we need to be prepared for some growing pains. There isn't anything wrong with that, but it is likely to surprise some of our fans. I think we will be in the 4-6 win range next year which for a transitional year wouldn't be bad at all.

If some complains about a 4-6 win year next year then they don't understand how this works. I don't think we go 12-0 but i would be pretty upset to see us go 0-12 or end in the worst 10 FBS teams ranking.

Once they get past 50 I doubt they put much effort outside of last years record and computer rankings. Just beat Michigan again and make these fools look dumb.

Still way too many losses to teams both of us shouldn't have lost to.
Going to be an interesting year with your new coach and our second year head coach.

Troy should be happy to be playing both of us the first year. Best shot at going
bowling in years, plus a national TV midweek game.

I'd trade either Ark St. or ULL for NMSU in our transitional year.

I imagine app state is the kind of school that will not settle for being bad very long..I look for them to be pretty lathered up to prove themselves..

If I had ever seen an egg being laid, it happened that day. I was there freezing my butt off wondering what in the hell just happened. Flashback to the dark ages.

That game may have been "the game" that saved the season and faith in Satterfield much like our victory over you guys in 2010. I knew your record up to that point did not reflect ability and talent.

Without the UF game, the season would have been a lame duck year, especially with Monken leaving.
