RE: Board Meet-Up-Friday May 9th at 6ish
Wish I had been able to make it. law school graduation weekend and some other obligations made it impossible. glad to hear it went well and when we do it again I'll do my best to be there.

Board Meet-Up-Friday May 9th at 6ish
I got there early and had to leave early. My daugbter is ready to deliver her 2nd child. I got the call last night, but it was a false alarm.

April & May is just a bad time for me during high school tennis season. We had a match with Seven Hills last night.

I had a track meet myself. But, realistically, I'd probably already have to be in Cincinnati for some other reason before I could make it.

RE: Board Meet-Up
All,

There was requests of some members at last month's meet-up who suggested that we have a standing board meet-up on the calendar so everyone is aware of it and is given enough notice. This standing meet-up will take place on the 3rd Friday of every month during the summer, besides August because I will be on vacation that week. The dates during football season will be the Friday before Saturday home games (so our out of town board members can attend) or on the 3rd friday of the month. Below are the dates:

June 20
July 18
August 22

For Football Season:

September 19-Next day is homecoming vs Miami
October 4- Next Day Home against Memphis
November 21- Next Day road game at UCONN
December 5- Next Day home against Houston

These meet-ups will take place at the same location, Bad Tom Brewing on Eastern Ave. The time to arrive is up to you but i will get there around 530 on each date. More dates may be added during football season.

So if there is a board meet-up, there is no choice except that place? Nothing on the west side, or downtown or anywhere else?

RE: Board Meet-Up
Not necessarily. If we meet downtown somewhere then we will have to pay to park. If we meet at a restaurant or bar we may have to pay gratuity for more than 8 people. I thought it would be easiest to have it at a place to where we know that we would have space and not have to pay any extra costs.

RE: Board Meet-Up
Posted this before I realized bctn8n had replied.

I applaud bctn8n for taking the initiative, however I do agree with Ctip.

Having the meetups at various locations might encourage age diversity, and make it easier for some of our geographic outliers to attend. As an example, several of our posters live in the far northern suburbs.

Good food. Beer. Mixed drinks. Non-alcoholic drinks. And the places certainly don't have to be fancy or expensive. You get the picture.

OTR, The Banks, Northside, N KY, Northern suburbs, Clifton.

One word of caution. I know for a fact the Lush is afraid of the Eastern suburbs.

04-cheers

RE: Board Meet-Up
Bump. I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow night!

As a side note I am working with some of the other breweries in the area so we can have these meetings on a rotational basis. I will update everyone about the breweries once I confirm the dates.

A friend runs the Cincy Brew Bus: http://cincybrewbus.com/. We could have the occasional outing there and hit a bunch of breweries. 04-cheers

RE: Board Meet-Up
Bump. Is anyone interested in having board meet-ups again now that we are in season? We can rotate the locations throughout the season and they will be the week of select games. Thoughts anyone?

Im up for anything. There are quite a few pubs around and a sports bar would be nice to watch some games!

With that other thread, about the Grail pre-game thing, that sounds like an obvious venue for a get-together.

My brother and I had planned to go to the Yard, but there is no reason we cannot stumble over to the Grail also.
