I am 5'10" and slow and my wife is 5'7" and heavyset, but the only kids his age at the YMCA league that can play at his level are black. They are faster, but he has better shooting and handling skills. Both of us are white and neither of us have athletes in the family.
He's going pro.

I think lost money is the commissioner's concern. There are a lot of black people in Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, DC, New York, St. Louis, KC and others. Continued lack of interest from the 3rd largest purchasing power is a ton of revenue that is just floating around out there, just outside of MLB's reach.
You may say that the MLB has enough money to not worry about that this but, in the eyes of business, there's no such thing as enough money.
No doubt, it's always about money. However, this is just stupid. Not a lot of blacks in the NHL, is the NHL commissioner worried?
Well the NHL has its own initiatives out there.
