Did you have fun on your fishing expedition on Google? Not one current link said it was America's most polluted lake. Thirty years ago I wouldn't argue with you. Your Links don't help your case...the Lake has undergone a huge change for the positive and is continuing to evolve. A $400M+ pollution abatement is almost done.

I suggest you actually visit it before casting dispersions...

Greensboro and Winston-Salem both have A clubs, but new "downtown" ballparks.

The ACC baseball tournament was supposed to be played at Fenway several years ago, but our friends at BC dropped the ball with the Red Sox management. The ACC was able to move the tournament to Greensboro that year on very short notice.

How so? I just recall the Red Sox backing out last minute.

I applaud Syracuse/New York for cleaning up the lake. Hate that crap.

Dude, you know as well as I do I didn't just pull the name out of thin air. That's the title that has been applied to Onongaga Lake for decades. It's like calling the Dallas Cowboys "America's Team".

More proof

And as for being "done", even when the 5 year $400+ million dollar project is done there are no assurances the lake will be in a condition to allow swimming, and the mercury levels in fish could still be high for decades to come. I have no desire to go look at water I can't swim in, so I'll pass on visiting. I can see a sewage lagoon from mile marker 4 on I77 any time I want.

It is really pointless to argue with you...however, I bet the ACC will hold the rowing championships on Onondaga Lake in the next 5-6 years.

The photo below was taken a few days ago.
