The Lady Trojans
They should certainly be a contender this season. Taylor Gault will return for her senior season. Cobbins should be back. The young players got a lot of experience last season learning Coach Foley's system and utilizing it in game conditions. Plus the redshirt transfer should help with our inside game.
We need at least two dependable perimeter shooters. That will be the telling item. The best women's teams always have at least two really good three point shooters. Whether or not they're on the roster, I don't know.
Alysha Clark shows promise if she can extend her game, and Sharde Collins might develop into that outside shooter. Gault is capable if she'll work hard in the off season. I'm looking forward to good things from the Ladies this season. I believe they'll definitely be in the top three at the end of the season. Maybe the top two.

Who's going to finish ahead of them? Offhand, I don't know what ASU has coming back.

I really don't know. Western is out of the league now. I forgot about that. That's the only team I thought might be on a par with us. Heck. We might win the whole thing.

The ladies success will depend on having a few perimeter shooters. Otherwise, teams will zone us again and play junk D on Gault.

Absolutely. That's always been a weakness, if we had any, of our women's teams. Kim Sitzman was a streaky shooter, as was Jeanette Marieux. Taylor Ford hit some big shots, but she wasn't a great perimeter shooter.Chas Reed was a fifteen foot and in shooter. Gault has some potential as a three point shooter, but she hasn't had great stats from the three point line either. I'm hoping Collins and Jackson develop into more consistent perimeter shooters. Otherwise, as you say, they can shut Gault down and we're toast.

We lost Jane Morrill, and the Wyatt Twins. We will be hard pressed to replace morrill offensively but defensively we should be fine. I expect it will either be us or UALR at the end of the season next year.
