How about we stop trashing GMU when we have PLENTY of problems to be concerned about at JMU. Can someone tell us what is up with the Mike Deane hiring? He never got it done at Wagner, is supposedly not very personable, and seemed to be eerily distant from the players and staff.

I have no insight to "being distant from players" but I ran into him at the MGM when we played 2 games in December of 2012. He took the time to talk to my Son and I for several minutes, thanked us for making the trip from Phoenix, and asked if we needed tickets for the games.

Deane is a great guy and was successful at Marquette. He is the confidant for Matt and brings extensive knowledge and experience.

And he is hilarious. There is a joke every minute coming out if his mouth.

When I talked to a Duke Club rep on Wednesday he said he was really excited about an opponent coming to the Convo next year but he couldn't tell me who it was yet. Although I thought he was talking about WBB...
