Just for kicks: What if the Big East invited UConn basketball and UConn was willing, but wanted to keep its football in the AAC? What would Aresco and the AAC say to that?

My guess: After lots and lots of gnashing of teeth, the bottom line would be "yes".

Not that doing so would be a good idea, it wouldn't, for either UConn or the Big East, but the AAC would swallow it anyway. For all the criticizing of UConn football, yours is too valuable to give up.

First, Aresco has no say in that, it's up to the members' Presidents to decide, why do you have to be told this some many times and you still can't get it.

Second, we already told Boise, no special deals.

Because it's easy to say that you're going to say "no" to that when it is hypothetical and not a real concrete situation. IMO, we'd be better of letting UConn do that if they wanted to rather than lose their football. UConn football isn't good on the field right now but it is a valuable commodity to the AAC and we wouldn't have a viable replacement for them.

They aren't going to the BE, you are dumb, real dumb.......Fo Real.

Who said UConn was going to the BE? 01-wingedeagle01-wingedeagle

The author needs to worry less about the 0% possibility of UConn going to the BE, and the very real probability that at least a couple of BE teams would like to jump over to the AAC.
