Maybe OT - McAdoo Declares for the Draft
Is it me or are his numbers pretty pedestrian for an early departure from college? I would think his stock would benefit from another year at UNC. Just my opinion of course.

McAdoo averaged 11.4 points and 5.9 rebounds, including 14.3 points and 7.0 rebounds in two seasons as a starter.

His stock was probably highest after his freshman year. He should have gone then.

I thought he would stay since UNC has the third best recruiting class coming in, with him they would have been a top 5 team. Or maybe he was afraid he'd be overshadowed by the McDonald's All-American's coming in? Everyone around here (central NC) is more focused on whether Parker and Hood from Duke are going as opposed to McAdoo. One thing is for sure, they'll be no more showing McAdoo's parents behind the bench (it was getting a bit excessive) during UNC games!

Maybe they foresaw another PJ Hairston situation? UNC is the scum of the college athletic world.

I liked his parents being shown, it was always worth a good ODU mention, especially with Vitale, who brought up some of our big moments on national tv often. But as a rule I agree with you, families of athletes are shown way, way too often during games. The same people over & over, 15x a game. Must be some stupid tactic taught in directors school.
