You mean I get to tailgate all afternoon on a Friday, with no work the next day and miss some crazy 11:00 am kickoff on a Saturday? Plus, everyone gets to dress up for a big Halloween party on TL? And (hopefully) all the Tiger fans on TL will bring candy for kids to trick or treat at other tailgates?

There are people who think this is a bad thing?

People who think my kids wouldn't rather trick or treat at a big TL party than on a trailer pulled behind our SUV through our neighborhood?

They are gonna love this.

And a LOT of potential photo ops in the stands for ESPN. A chance to have a fun game for attendant and TV viewer.

Friday night will be OK. Wednesday/Thursday nights are the bigger problem.

Don't be shocked if we don't end up with one of those.

I would be a little shocked. That would mean we would be a featured game on national TV. I'd think UC, UCF, ECU, UH or SMU would be more vulnerable for a weeknight game.

I take it not too many of you have kids in high school. It's called high school football. And you can't get out of it because your college team is playing.

when you have kids, something always is getting in the way of something else. fewer kids are playing high school football on friday than kids sports on saturday days. espn doesnt give a rip how many butts are in the seats - if it was up to them, every stadium seating area would be painted green and they would just cgi in a crazed capacity crowd.

It's not just the kids playing football. It's also the kids in the band, and the girls that are cheer leaders. Even the friends of those kids. If your 14 year-old wants to go to the HS game on Friday night, if you are a decent parent, you are not going to drop them off at the HS and then say "hope you get back to the house okay. We will probably be getting home about an hour later than you".
Maybe I'm being too hasty. It IS possible that HS football season might be over by 10/31. At least for the majority of people.

11/1 was the last Friday night game for 2013, so I'm guessing 10/31 would be the last one this year ... Schedules won't come out until early summer I believe ...

I think it's stupid. Friday nights are for High School Football, it's all about the almighty dollar.

You can play a college and high school game on the same day...the world wont explode.
