To me NCAAB is not like college football, in that in football, you can have a great season based on what you do in the regular season but losing in postseason. But basketball is set up (at least imo) where your season is judged by how you do in the tournament. If we went undefeated like Wichita St. but never got past the round of 32, I'd say the season wasn't a success.

We made the tourney, and advanced...only 9 Memphis basketball teams ever did better.

We have 11 Sweet 16 appearances plus the 1957 NIT Final.

only 9 Memphis teams have done better than making the NCAA Tourney and advancing one game...I chose my words carefully.

Ten of those since the ESPN sports phenomenon. 10 in 27 years to be specific. Now its 10 in 32 years.
