RE: The Aftermath
Players more like Pitino and less like Huggins?

Rubles disappointed me offensively this year. He could have had multiple games like the Memphis game but he always shriveled up like a scared turtle and never tried to score through anyone. That damn finger roll he missed near the end of the game should have been a dunk and an and 1. At least JJ tried to score everytime he was around the basket, god bless him.

And Jermaine Lawrence needs to go back and watch tapes of himself from 2 years ago or whatever he needs to do to get himself back to playing like a 4 star recruit.

Jermaine Sanders needs to make sure they write his name down in the *** **** book.

Guyn needs to slow down and finish a the rim and throw an assist here or there- not asking much from a starting PG.

And Shaq Thomas needs to learn how to bot disappear for entire halves of basketball games. He had like 8 pts in the first half and I think I saw him eating popcorn in the stands behind Gottleib in the second half.

Sheese.

DVR failure for the first 3/4ths of the game. I noticed on espn game tracker that we missed 12 shots in the paint in the first half. Another 7 in the second half. Were these contested?

I was hoping to see them play against MSU, but it was not to be. 03-weeping

Overall, the Bearcats had a very successful season and I'm proud of them. 04-cheers

Already looking forward to next year! 02-13-banana

The best thing that Harvard did was not let us score off turnovers. They turned it over but got back quickly. The shots we missed were a lot of Titus Rubles in the first half and JJ had a bunch rim out as well. They were quick to pack the paint and I felt we rushed a lot of shots too.

RE: The Aftermath
Tough loss. Regardless of preseason predictions, for a large portion of this season this team was far better than a first round exit. SK being somewhat passive the last 10 minutes is going to stick with me a long time, hate to see him go out like that. There would have been no shame in losing to M St, losing to Harvard while missing a dozen point blank shots...well, that just sucks...

Not contested as much as rushed.

Not contested as much as rushed.

Mick's brother said on twitter it was 25 missed layups. Whether it was 19 or 25, that is wayyy too many. We could have won the game by 20 if we would have hit half of those.

RE: The Aftermath
In the year 2014, why does an effing clerical error give the other team free points? This isn't 1950. The NCAA would easily know if a player isn't supposed to be on the team. WTF

Wow. Regardless of what side of the political spectrum you're on, I'd say that you'd have to agree the website was a cluster. Someone a little sensitive this evening?

Seriously though... I am doing fine in the "aftermath." And given that I tend to be one of the more hysterical ones on these boards, that (alone) should tell you something.

The year was a success. Unqualified success.
The end was disappointing, but nothing more, nothing less.
The error with the line-up was a mistake...embarrassing, but who hasn't made one before?
Should anyone get "fired"? No friggin' way.

I'm looking forward to this team moving on, learning the hard lessons, and roaring out next year.

RE: The Aftermath
It stings still, but not the way that the loss to Louisville did. Or the one to louisville in football for that matter. I feel like Russ Smiths game winner back in February was the turning point for our season. Damn shame too.

RE: The Aftermath
in the aftermath...I think next year could be a bit of a rebuilding year. not sure Guyn and Sanders are situated to lead us as seniors.

but in 2 years, Caupain, KJ and Lawrence will be juniors. Mormon and Strickland sophmores as well as Gary Clark. could have a real good team in 2 years!!!
