What does that say about YOU, mom...

Charles reminds me a lot of Earl Campbell. Didn't say much. Rarely ran back to the huddle. Certainly didn't jump around after big plays or on the sideline. Slowly walked to his spot... until you gave him the ball.

You left out the part about running over people.

RE: Rice Pro Day
The name I keep hearing come up for Phillip Gaines's NFL draft comparisons is DJ Hayden - a first round pick last year from UH. It seems that the time at the combine has sent all of the scouts back to the film and they're liking what they see. He's gone from 7th round to somewhere between 2nd and 3rd round projections.

DJ's mediocre rookie year (and the fact that the Raiders have an early first rounder...) probably prevents Gaines from moving in to the first, but it's still an encouraging parallel for fast CBs out of Houston schools.

Apparently a lot of people are noticing, and for the right reasons. There are a handful of articles about him, and they are finally accurately assessing his abilities (like this one: http://www.behindthesteelcurtain.com/ste...-breakdown)

I am so much the opposite of Phillip. I am a loud, opinionated, animated Italian/East coast girl....lol

RiceLad - that link didn't work for me due to the parenthesis being included. Try this:

I also found this write-up, which I don't think has been circulated yet.

http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/NFL-...ikens.html

Basically, it's sounding more and more like a Day Two drafting is a strong possibility.

Any reason you are questioning his work ethic?

I hope OldOwl is joking...
