Really interesting breakdown of the defense. A lot of people complained about the linebackers and secondary, but the D line really did them no favors last year. A lot like the bears defense (though I will never defend Conte).

That's a hell of an article. Very thorough breakdown.

I think a lot of those receivers got open awfully fast.

Interesting bits:

Martaveyus Carter listed at LB as was mentioned in a previous thread. Thought for sure he would be a RB.

Just wish we would have been able to get 1 of those JC DT recruits that were mentioned on this board.

I think the RB depth chart is going to be one of the more interesting things to watch this year.

There's only one football. And while 2-3 will most likely be in heavy rotation....2-3 will not be happy. Huff has got to be chomping at the bit.

The depth of this team is amazing compared to 7 or 8 years ago. In the Novak years there was usually a big dropoff between the starters and backups and there wasn't much rotation at any position. For example there would typically be two receivers who could really play after which there was a serious dropoff. Not true today.

Thats what happened in 2003. We had a big drop off. Nick Duffy got hurt(and others) and we did not have adequate depth to replace those injured.

I wonder how many of those guys we wouldn't have if the MAC wouldn't have those weeknight November games.

Just would like to see depth built throughout the team. Namely by continuing to add size on the lines on both sides of the ball. We are better there but not great. We are looking great at the speed and skill positions. But we do need some size so we don't get pushed around.

I wonder why it has Matt Williams name blanked out like the non-returnies. Did I miss something?

I wouldn't think SB Nation would get any info from Athletics. Could be something they heard "on the street"...could be just an error.

Isn't Williams playing Baseball?
Sebastiano was suspended & concussed last year.

We're gonna need someone to take attendance at 7AM tomorrow.07-coffee3
Anybody?? 04-bow
