Congratulations Providence: Big East Champs!
No offense to Creighton but i enjoyed seeing a traditional Big East team win.
That should put 4 teams in the big dance.

PRovidence has the autobid, so they can't be in the 11/12 play-in games.

That's right .I don't know what I was thinking. Interesting to see if they get a seed higher than 12

Appearantly the committee chair said that prior to that game, PC was out of the tourney.
Also, Xavier was in the PIG regardless of if PC had won or lost that game.

what is bad is realizing looking at this seed list, if Marquette beat Xavier and PC lost in the tourney, we probably are sitting here right now with only 2 bids.
on the other side- given that Georgetown was one of the 1st 4 out- if they had beaten DePaul, do we get in, and gives us 5?

At the end of the day, 40% of the BE made the NCAA tournament in what many believe is a down year. Over the long haul, conferences will have up and downs. In year 2, the 16 team BE had a 6 bid year, but went on to become arguably the best basketball conference. I'm very optimistic about what this conference can become.
