You could possibly find something in Sycamore. Relatively close & probably better prices. When my son graduated in 2003, we stayed at a Microtel. It was brand new then and worked out just fine. We have also stayed in Rochelle. It's only 10 min. or a little further.

i stay at the student union at an alumni rate of anywhere from $45 -$65

This past season I've stayed at Baymont and Best Western. Liked the Baymont much more and decent rates....and literally a stumble away from Fatty's after a football game.

Thanks for the tips. I am definitely attending the Miami game with my wife, my daughter (a Miami grad who lives in Wisconsin), my granddaughter and perhaps my son-in law.
