ODU notches first CUSA baseball win over #18 Rice 2-1 in 10.
After dropping the first game of the series 4-1 yesterday, the first game of today's double header also went to Rice 3-2 in a 17 inning marathon. The Monarchs pulled out their first CUSA win 2-1 in the 10 inning nightcap. Though picked to finish in 10th place ODU is now 9-6, and made a very respectable showing this weekend in Houston.

I think this team is playing hard and they have the mind set they have been overlooked. In the pre-season poll they were selected to finish no better than 10th. WTG and Congratulations Monarchs!
