It's really not.

The shading on the back of the head/neck, the shape of the beak...all the same. Even the lines over the eyes are very similar. The only real difference is the mouth is slightly open.

And ours really isn't like Iowa's but we got the shaft anyway.

I like it. It is similar to NCCU's, but they're both eagle's heads, so they can only be so dissimilar. It will look nice as a finished product.

Very amateurish. Appears to be drawn in pencil? Also, I don't like the chosen backdrop for the logo...having the eagle in front of an inventory sheet is just a bizarre choice.

I like the current logo USM has. Let's be honest, you can only re-draw an eagle, tiger, bulldog mascot so many times before the designs start to overlap each other.

we also agreed the chicken logo and 'southern miss' moniker is stale..

Sorry, Stink ,but i don't like it. The beak is only part of the problem (way too much overhang, even compared to an Eagle's natural hook in their beak, your friend drew it way too comical). The eye doesn't even look like it's there...

Look at any photo of an eagle, and you can't miss seeing the eyes, even the dark colored eyes still stand out.

It's a logo. Many logos have exaggerated features.
