Two games played, and a 6 point difference between the teams. Lipscomb wins 82-80 in the Dome. The Bucs win 96-88 in Nashville. Both teams can score, neither team defends the other well, and both teams can win on the road. Their humiliation of an FGCU team that towers over them says all you need to know about the danger of this team.

So this is highly likely to be a close, high scoring game, with the win going to the team that gets some key stops and scores down the stretch.

Lipscomb has no real post players and only a couple of traditional guards. What they’ve got in spades are 5 physical athletes in the 6’5” 220 range who shoot and score inside and out. Freshmen J.C. Hampton at guard (15.7 ppg on 80-197 for .406 from 3; 2.8 asst, 2.4 t.o.) and Josh Williams (14.8 ppg in conference, 27-99 for .374 from 3; 4.7 rpg) are becoming ASun stars.

Lipscomb is 263-731 for .360 from 3, .370 in conference. That's the most made 3's in the ASun. Bucs are 246-664 for .370, .390 in conference. Free Throws: in conference Lipscomb is 274-405 for .677. Bucs are 328-421 for .780 from the line.

Lipscomb has 6.8 steals; Bucs 7.6. Turnover margin is +1.83 for Lipscomb (12.5 tpg), +2.29 for the Bucs (11.9 tpg).

Front Court: 6’6” 210 So. Talbot Denny (4.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg), 6’4” 200 Jr. Martin Smith (13.8 ppg 61-171 .357 from 3; 3.3 rpg); 6’5” 210 Jr. Malcolm Smith (13.4 ppg, 7-32 .219 from 3, 4.0 rpg). They get outrebounded -6.7 in conference, compared to -1.7 for the Bucs.

Back Court: 6’1” 180 Rs-Fr J.C. Hampton (15.7 ppg on 80-197 for .406 from 3; 2.8 asst, 2.4 t.o.); 6’4” 220 Sr. Khion Sankey (7.5 ppg on 30-77 for .390 from 3; 5.2 rpg); 6’4” 218 Fr. Josh Williams (14.8 ppg in conference, 27-99 for .374 from 3; 4.7 rpg). They get 6.8 steals to 7.6 for the Bucs

Bench: 6’3” 195 So. J.J. Butler (10 min., 1.4 ppg, 0.7 rpg), 6’170 Rs-Jr Carter Sanderson (12.5 min., 4.2 ppg 17-57 .298 from 3; 6’0” 185 Jr. Chad Johnson (10.2 min., 1.5 ppg, 1.5 rpg). They get very little from the bench.

ETSU has a slight edge in most stats. Lipscomb's thrashing of FGCU showed what an edge in stats is worth this time of year. The Bucs have a chance to leave us with some great memories of this team. Go Bucs!

Just tried to order my tickets in the same section my regular season ticks are located and it shows that there are "no seats available" (in the entire section). Anyone else tried and been successful? Or is there some kind of sign in/password I'm supposed to have if I'm a season ticket holder?

I figure it'll be busy trying to call the ticket office in the morning.

Never mind as I see I'm supposed to have an "account". Oh well, guess I'll be calling tomorrow morning.

I logged in to my account. My seats were "taken" when I did it the other way. Just log in and go to AST tickets and yours should be there for you if you are a season ticket holder. I just printed them off the net.

Same thing with me. It really pays to set up an account and just log in and buy them there.

No one answering at the ticket office even though they should have been open for over an hour.

Call other divisions in the athletic department until someone answers. Or better yet, call Dr. Noland's office and leave a message that you can't buy tickets to the basketball game because nobody in the athletic department will pick up the phone.

I can't get ahold of anyone either. Nobody is answering. How stupid is that?

Isn't there only one ticket guy? And doesn't he do some stuff with game management and production? Wouldn't be surprised if his office line isn't being answered because he's either on a line taking orders or trying to set up for the game tomorrow.

I got through with no problem this morning just after 9 AM. Spoke to Brandon; he was by himself but commented that he had a grad assistant coming in at 10. Friend of mine called later and spoke to her and had no problems.

The weather could be causing some issues(?)

Ive tried 7 times so far today. My season tickets are held until 5pm then it goes up to the public. Maybe I can buy them at that point online!

I went though BASA and got it done fast. The ticket office called me back about 4 hours later after I left a message, like I said I had already got them.

I got a call a few minutes ago asking if I wanted my normal seats. They did the order over the phone. I asked if sales were going good and he said yes

This game just got tougher:

The Bucs may be without starting point guard Petey McClain tonight. The sophomore says he “heard a pop” in his left ankle in practice Sunday and was wearing street clothes with an orthopedic boot as the team worked out Monday.

I could not agree more. Petey has played very well this year, but Jalen Riley dominated the game at Lipscomb, might as well let him go from the opening tap.
