I am all for the move made by CJP regarding cursing...HOWEVER...is it just me..or does Shaq curse during games especially when he blocks shots?

I'm trying not to second guess CJP but I KNOW Ive heard Shaq...

I'd guess that the issue with Dom deals with more issues than language (tone of voice, direction of invective, practice issues, discipline, etc). I'd bet we don't know the whole story.

I'm okay with that personally.

There is a difference in cursing in frustration and cursing at someone for example.

Pastner never goes fully public with all the details or issues a player is having. Nor should he.These are still very young men who are growing up.

Most of us should be smart enough to understand that this isn't about Dom just letting a single curse word slip out and that's it.

I think we can assume this is the culmination of some language issues or respect issues in specific situations.

Because he is keeping it quiet regarding Dom is all the more reason to band it...because Shaq let's go quite a few in game Sat... and my son was like whew...Shaq has a potty mouth...

I assumed CJP's problem with Dom run a bit deeper and more prolonged than a few curse words during game time.
Dom's inability to control the cursing was just a childish symptom of the cause CJP is treating IMO.

Interesting point though. Maybe Shaq is a happy cursor directing them towards himself ("**CK I thought I made that"). He always has a smile on his face. Maybe Dom is an angry cursor directing them towards others ("**CK YOU I would have made that").

I say let the band play on.

Several of our players say the F word all the time. You can see them mouth it on TV. Woodson didn't not get suspended because he said a bad word.

I think it is a particular word that is banned, not cursing in general.

So what did Woodson get suspended for? Inquiring minds and all that...

I figure CJP has enough experience with Dom to know when he needs diverting. Timely call by CJP. Dom at the game on Saturday might have wound up being a distraction to what was really happening. 36-9

There's always more to the story.

And to everything, there is a season.

"Gimme that s*&%" after a blocked shot, delivered with a big smile, is much different than saying some truly foul stuff in front of very young kids, or in church, or whatever. I don't know what the whole story is with Woodson, but I trust coach.

Ah. I've picked up several "My N***a's" from him over the season, that's a little different than dropping "isht" after blocking a shot.
