RE: Fan ejection (UCF Game)
Very first regular season game in the Pyramid was Memphis/Depaul. With six seconds left and the tigers down 1, Marcus Nolan drove the left side of the lane with a chance to put the tiger ahead. Whistle blows and Marcus Nolan is called for a charge. Guess who the ref was?

Yep, it was Jim Burr. Hated that man ever since.

No, you or I would probably wind up at 201. 03-lmfao

Figures.....03-lmfao

Well that is the upper section behind the student seats. Lots of space there. Downside they never ever get the T shirt toss there. The upside is Burr could probably call a better game from there.

I really don't think that's the 201 she was talking about. 03-lmfao

Tanya knew what I was talking about.

Actually, I sit above Section 201. I would love to have those seats. In 205, we never get the t-shirt cannon or the parachutes. No one has ever come up to give us a big screen tv, or to put us on the Kiss Cam or the stupid haircut or sunglass deal. We look DOWN on the blimp. Sometimes it's hard to breath up there, the air is so thin. No one seems to know we exist.

But we have a rowdy, diverse crowd and we rock it! In fact, my BF and I were yelling to Burr to come up and kick us out. Guess he didn't hear us. 03-lmfao

Houston had a male cheerleader, but not your typical male cheerleader if you know what I mean. All the fan did was doing the wave to the cheerleader and he was immediately tossed with a load of security

I remember that cheerleader vividly. At the time, I said, "He looks like a character from Zoolander".

I simply don't get why he refs any of our games

Yup

You should ask Iowa fans about him. He went to court to stop a fan who printed tee shirts with his face on a stick body hanging from a tree. They printed shirts after he blew a call at the horn that cost Iowa the Big Ten championship a few years back. He is a real slow leak.

Allowing Burr to ref D-1 games indicates lack of ref supervision and accountability by the NCAA. It undermines the credibility of the game.

Good point, maybe because Smart didn't yell at a ref?
