The Falcons have shown some staying power this season and they remain a part of the MAC race. The Flashes are searching for a recipe for a victory. Who is planning to attend? What do you think we might see that we like?

I was wondering if there would be a thread of interest in this game. I will be there as usual. Sorry to say I have lost confidence in this team but I will always support Kent State. Hope to see a glimmer of hope in the future.

I'll be there. It's tough for me to pull away from the Olympics, but I'd do it for the Flashes.

I'll be there and I'll be looking for the young players to play more and show some improvement and enthusiasm. Winning will be a bonus but only for next year. It's too late to make this year significantly better. I don't see any winning streaks coming.

I don't mean to be drab or snarky by replacing my "highly anticipated previews" and burden betting guides with the short game threads. But for this fan a lessened level of excitement comes with a lessened level of interest. Sure, winning a few would cure that, but I am positive that everyone feels the same way.

The guys I have circled are probably the same as everyone else. I am sorry to hear Spicer is nursing an injury. I believe he still has yet to reach his full potential and I will be pulling for him moving forward. KT is another one that really interests me. One constant in the last few dreadful games has been how hard that young man plays. He has the look of a competitor. And hey, the games still count. Lots could happen between now and the "Q." That includes good and bad, obviously.

Just a question...do we have talent but just not the passion to play the game? We have been in so many games, playing with everyone yet fall apart in the end. Maybe I am just trying to find a silver lining in all this mess.

I think the talent was there, but I haven't seen the effort made to get better. Same mistakes every game.

Early in the year I thought we had the talent we needed, but after watching Akron and BG the other night on TV and seeing how easily many of their players were able to get up off the floor and play at rim or above level or have shots without major hitches has convinced me we don't have the talent nor do we have as many natural athletes, outside of Jackson and Spicer, as other schools.

Passion and heart can only get you so far, you eventually need talent to help carry the day. I think we've reached the end of where passion and heart can take us and the team has realized it.

Sendy's quote in today's Record-Courrier: "We had one of our best practices of the year (Monday)." -

I think he uses that quote before the next game after every loss.

I will be there as usual. One thing I'd like to see is for Brewer to play the 2 spot exclusively. I know that Sendy has been playing a 3 guard line-up but most times in that I still Brewer at the point. I'd like to see Thomas at the point period. Brewer can shoot it (40% LY from three range) and right now his confidence is shot. Maybe being set up for some offense (open three's, picks and screens for drives and elbow jumpers) will get him going and take the pressure off. This switch sure worked well with Huffman and Mitchell back in the day!

If this is rock bottom I'll take it with the hope it's just a bump in the road and we get through it. Yeah we're all disappointed and the frustration mounts, but at least we're mediocre, look at the girls program if you truly want to see low points.

I agree. Passion and heart get you close losses to Toledo, Ohio, etc. Talent turns them into wins. I think what we see as a lack of passion is really frustration from knowing your not good enough to beat some of the better teams.

True but this is how it began. Lack of four year talented players, plugging the holes with JC and transfers for a while and then finally total collapse. Let's hope that's not what we are seeing.

It is strange that Akron's coach says he supports his players but when we say that, we get condemned.

RE: BGSU @ Kent State
My goals for tonight.

1) keep my blood pressure down. might be time for a pre-game scotch to help achieve that goal.
2) I sit far enough away from floor so i likely wont go Texas Tech old man on Goodson or KB
3) Hopefully we see alot of youth and that gives us some hope for future.
