Ween a foreign nation decides not to extradite to the US we are upset so I can see how this at least warrants consideration. Im not saying we should send them just that *IF* Italian law allows for a second trial and *IF* the have a picture of her with the smoking gun in her hand its a hard all..

They won't send people here unless we take the death penalty off the table.

So why should we send someone to face double-jeapordy there.

They'll most likely send her back because this isn't double jeopardy. Their legal system works differently and she was never fully off the hook.

She's also technically considered innocent until all appeals are gone through, at least in Italy.

In Texas, she would have been facing capital murder charges. Currently, there is 5 white, 3 black, 1 Hispanic women on death row. 9 women and 266 men awaiting execution. With 8 scheduled for the first half of 2014.

I think the prosecutor is crazy.

From the bits I've picked up through the months on this, the story was originally a drug induced, sex-crazed orgy that went wrong- Guilty. Retried-Innocent. Retried again, but with a new story.....fight over dirty apartment, and, I $h*t you not....unflushed poop - Guilty.

As much as Rolling Stone can piss me off, I found this quite interesting: "The Neverending Nightmare of Amanda Knox"

I'm still not saying she's innocent....but from the information I've seen, and the way they run their courts, I think it'd be ridiculous for us to extradite her. (I'd rather let a guilty person go free than put an innocent person in jail....in Italy)
