Daniels- 6'9
Kromah 6'6
Calhoun- 6'6
Brimah- 7'0
Nolan 6'10
Giffey- 6'7
Olander 6'10

These are the players who have played other then Napier and Boatright.

Daniels, Kromah, Calhoun, Gaffey, we're guarded by guards most of the night.

UConn shot 57%. I agree Shaq looked lost on D. The sf size difference is killing us against good teams. Do not understand Nichols not being on the floor.

WTF indeed.
Yep, and what the issue was about Dixon and Geron on there, were that they had FOUR fouls and weren't aggressive on D. Napier and Kumho took advantage three times in a row, which changed the game.

Austin came in , hit a shot, and went right back out. smh

Surely a Coach would understand that.

The benefit of having "4 Guards" is NOT having them all in the game at the same time, but rather being able to sit down a guard or two without having any drop-off at the position.

This. 6'6" and up and they backed those guards down and scored all night. King never got a chance.

Forcing the small ball is going to be painful to watch for a full season. CC especially when he's matched against bigger scrappier players.

Why doesn't Pastner ever talk about winning a national title?

He doesn't believe he can win it here.

Like Calipari. this is a stepping stone job.

I for certain thought that we would run this season with guards in waves. Start with G and Joe and sub them out for Dixon and Crawford.

Something was bothering Austin all night not sure what it was but he looked like something was bothering him. There was even a point where he was getting attended to by the trainer on the bench

No, he won't. This is us for the rest of the year.

Not developing King / Iverson means teams with big wing players are going to beat us most of the time.

The 4 guard lineup didn't help because 2 of the 4 guards had 4 fouls. Unlike uCONn we lack guard who can dominate the one on one matchup.

I wasn't going to bring it up, but the benching of King is absolutely ridiculous. The guy is a major talent. Maybe Coach Pastner was waiting for some softer games, but crap man.

right, I thought we needed to keep getting in to him after his run in the first half. definitely couldn't stop them, they scored from everywhere. Next thing you know we throw up two bad threes in about 8 seconds.

I guessed I looked at a different game than you guys. I saw Coach use the 4 guard for pressure, and correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't he sub offense and defense with it, that is, after first forcing a 10 sec. call, and then a turnover. But I guess it's to much fun for you guys that have been quite lately, carry on, I know you are loving this.

UCONN shot 60% in the second half let that sink in. 60% folks. I don't care what lineup you put out there if they don't defend we are going to get beat. The only difference between this game and the Cincinnati game is we shot better tonight. With that said of we continue to let teams come in the forum and shoot over 50% then we aren't going to win many home games

Not then. When the game was decided. From about 4:30 left to about 2:50 left (by my slightly buzzed memory).

And I am not loving this.

we're not discussing the last minute of the game. uconn went on an 8-1 run when he first subbed in the 4 guards around the 3 or 4 minute mark. go back and watch the game tape. the tape doesn't lie.

I didn't get that move. I can see the offense/defense switching. But we went with 4 guards on offense and suddenly UCONN was up by 7. The ball went into Shaq twice. And 4 guys in gray stood and watched. I was a classic how not to run an offense moment. And we had been pretty good in execution of our offense until then. Our defense is the issue.

That was in the last minute and a half where we had to press out of desperation. When UConn made their 8-1 run to basically put the game away, we had the 4 Kings lineup.
