Just a thought on Hoke- if he's gone- there's talk that Harbaugh is on thin ice in SF- could easily see Harbaugh go to Michigan to take over that program.....

If Rutgers beats Penn State or makes a bowl game, Flood keeps his job. The problem is, as usual, the RU leadership. The university president really wants nothing to do with athletics, the AD has the support of our biggest booster but the majority of the boosters would rather see her get canned before Flood.

As for Schiano coming back, he finally sold his on campus mansion this summer. That leads me to believe he isn't looking to come back to Rutgers. My guess is that he is waiting for either the Giants or Jets job to open up.

I agree. And I think that's how it should be for that program. I'm honestly taken aback by what seems like legacy-speak or entitlement from Rutgers fans. Ten years ago, this program was a doormat second only to Temple...it went from doghouse to penthouse in one move, and now the program deserves better than a guy who's taken the team bowling each year he's been at the helm? What the heck?!

Flood's fine for now. Rutgers is not Michigan, Ohio State, or Nebraska. And I don't think you want to be in terms of a fanbase.

The bigger problem is Julie. She's awful. A true PR nightmare. The president isn't much better.

Not really on Hot seat but if anymore embarrassing losses by Texas like the one to BYU, and any strong critique from media , I could see Charlie Strong making contact with Florida if and when that job comes open. He after all could own recruiting in Florida and has so much influence with the School System Coaches in much of the State. They could afford Him if They want Him back as H.C.

I don't see Schiano going back to rutgers or the Giants or Jets. I could see him land the UVA job which would be a good move for all parties. Hoke probably got to win 9 games to return. I don't know if they would go after Jim Harbaugh, bad blood thereā€¦i could see him go to the Miami Dolphins after this season but i think Michigan would target his brother John as choice #1. If he doesn't take it, not sure who they would go after.

It's interesting and possible, but I think the guy couldn't get access to a Texas recruit ever again if he bolted before Austin was done with him.

Looks like Kyle Flood is staying at Rutgers for now. Pretty puzzling move. He still had another season left on his contract, and I'm not sure what he's done in the first two weeks to earn the extension at this time. I would have at least liked to have seen how his team fared in Big 10 play before making the commitment.

Texas isn't tough, lots of talent but not down in the trenches nasty. I think he will get them turned around.

Mason at Vandy. They are already calling for his head and it's only been two games.

Strong won't need Texas recruits if he goes home to Gainesville. Florida recruits are more talented then Texas recruits.

Question is can he get them to Texas in sufficient numbers soon enough? The Texas fans will not be quiet very long.

but the hottest seats are...

Hoke
Muschamp
Pelini (more for his off-field buffoonery mouthiness than anything else...)
London
Holgerson

Except for London, those are all guys at big-time programs who are underperforming.

I think Hoke is toast after the ND embarrassment of last week and the coming floggings by tOSU and MSU and PennState if they on the scUM schedule this year.

SPARTY ON!

If Muschamp goes away, Strong is going to UF whether UT wants him or not. I agree he would rather go back to his recruiting grounds.

It is definitely time for Ferentz to go but Dixie may be right. The AD better get it figured out though because if the call for Ferentz to be let go gets loud enough, it could come down to it being one or the other that has to go. Either Ferentz gets let go or the AD has to go for signing a deal that the University cant get out of.

It would be weird if both Ferentz and Johnson go from Orange Bowl in '09 to Unemployed in '15.

Sadly both have huge buyouts, it'd be tough to fire either one.
