Every time I try to get upset about this I think of getting 62 hung on us by a team that had managed 12 TDs in its first 11 games.

Looking back now, he lost his team. It should have been evident then, but I just chalked it up to the end of an abysmal season.

It was evident after the Memphis game the first year. But no one wanted to admit it.

From what I heard about the post season team meetings I thought he had lost the team.

Yeah, getting the **** kicked out of you at home on senior day by awful teams 2 years in a row tends to leave a sour taste in your mouth.

I wonder if we will get a report from the 3 p.m. team meeting that's been called for today? I would love to hear what happens in that.

That's very true. That loss was inexplicable, I guess I was still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt at that point.

I don't find the Memphis loss as "inexplicable" as some. Maybe because I live here, but I had noticed that while UAB was limping to the end of the season, Memphis was catching a second win. They were playing pretty decent by the end of the year.

We were double digit favorites in both those games.

Drew is hanging around there. Hopefully he'll get some interviews.

When people voluntarily leave a head coaching gig to take an assistants job and there job is not on the line, it shows that the UAB program is truly in a hopeless situation.

No your wrong. Nobody will ever surpass that A-hole!

McGee will have to lose a couple of hundred more games to even have a shot at surpassing Zero.

Who said that McGee's job wasn't on the line?

It may not have been on the line now, but it is possible that Mackin had a little chat with him.

Regardless, looks like we don't have to worry about it anymore.

I'm sure McGee had received a "Get Better, Soon " talk and realized he was either in over his head or couldn't meet the time frame.

Or it shows that someone thinks he is in over his head and would rather be back in a different role with less pressure.

By the way, did we ever get an answer to the question in the thread title?
