He said he had everything he needed to win at UAB. However, he had to had known we needed facilities, and its difficult to recruit to a home field called Legion Field.

Now if he leaves it says alot about him and the current situation surrounding UAB football.
Hopefully his departure shines light on the BOT... where the next coach can say we dont have everything we need to win, we need facilities.

No one of any importance outside of UAB is going to think McGee was a failure at UAB. McGee leaving is more of an indictment of UAB Football as a whole. And we don't know what happen behind the scenes that could have influence McGee it might be better for him to leave and salvage his coaching career than stay at UAB.

Well, I'll be dipped...Just heard it on the radio about 20 minutes ago on my way home that UAB & Vanderbilt are looking for new head football coaches. WTF?!!! As if this football program hasn't enough over the years by the BOT, the media, occasionally the fans and often themselves, now this. Can things get any (bleeping) worse, other than them rehiring Callaway like Louisville has with Petrino? Stay tuned, same bat-time, same bat-channel. ..."sigh"...

Okay, if he's gone, nothing left but for us to move on, lets stop beating eachother up, and address the problems that cause McGee to quit...that had to be a difficult decision to fire your friends, who by the way were all good coaches with better facilities and after firing your friends you quit....wow.
