No, we bounce the ball and jack 3s which they shot 2 for 20 or something. Great gameplan.

Yep

the refs didn't lose the game for us, but josh had plenty to do with this loss.

UC's bigs are really SFs with long arms and really quick feet. If you noticed, they switched on your guards all game. It's what makes the defense they run work. If we had traditional bigs, could not pull it off.

weeze wupped .... that's my 2.
As for coaching ... I think stubborn definitly works here ... also wonder why our guards continually tried layups ... seems they got scared to shoot.
4 guard lineups won't work when your jump shots aren't falling. Our wings are almost un-playable.
Austin Nichols ... seems CJP couldn't wait to sub him out. Very strange indeed. Pellom was fixing to come in early first half ... Nichols gets 2 blocks and a put back ... stays in another series ... then he's gone for the half. Pellom starts the second ... did Nichols even play in the second half. Can't remember.
Hope we play and coach better Thursday.

We didn't play as well as we can and the Bearcat defense had a lot to do with that, but we don't "suck".

Nichols dug his grave by going up soft/weak on every attempt.

Set the tone for cincy swatting our stuff. Dunk the ball or at least power up for the dunk and maybe you'll draw a foul instead of getting rejected.

Coach had seen enough. Dom should've played at least...

This thread is petty. Only one game in all my years of a tiger fan did I feel like refs won the game for the opposing team and that was Louisville last year.

This one is on the coaches and players.

against a proven strong offensive rebounding and defensive team.

We outrebounded them 15-2 on the offensive glass in the second half, and 17-11 throughout the game.

Rebounding wasn't the determining issue, it was terrible shooting, shot selection and turnovers.

And the reason we shot terrible, made bad decisions (shot selection) and turned it over was because of great defense played by Cincy.

Now we could've still won this game if our defense would've matched their's. But we didn't come close.

This was lost by coaching plain and simple. Cronin had his team playing "smothering, all out, max effort" defense. Pastner had his team playing "run around and try to steal the ball and overpursue and reach and if you don't get a steal, you give up a dunk or wide open shot" defense. Really nothing different.

The whole game I saw the refs make 3 maybe 4 bad calls against us. I am usually quick to point that crap out. Today the refs were not the problem.

Correct. Little guards driving to the hoop, getting their shots blocked, and no fouls called. What happened to the new rules this year? This game was ref'd like it was last years rules...imo.
As will most conference and tourney games.

Before giving my two words, in the interest of full disclosure, I did not see the game. Listened to Wolo for about two minutes, but saw nothing. I am basing my two words on the stats and comments on mt.org.

Two words: 'watch me!'
