What are you waiting for?

For more Sun Belt teams to join CUSA....

Hmmmm, and now that you say that, it makes the statement above, "CUSA will be back soon", all the more interesting. Which CUSA? I hate agreeing with Savadrool but he may have a point.

Well there you go....

CajunFanatico loves those stats because without analyzing the data, it apppears the SBC is better than C-USA. He of course, doesn't want to listen when anyone mentions that nearly all those SBC wins were by the top of the SBC against only a couple of the perenially bad C-USA teams. Rarely does a top C-USA team play a SBC team or even a bad SBC team. It's good message board fodder but it's misleading.

At the end of the day, it's simple-
-Pimping is done to prove something
-The need to prove something is as a result of inferiority feelings
-Inferiority feels are as a result of not being at the same level

RE: the sunbelters talking smack again.
We both can claim we're better because there are no games between our teams. The closest we get next year is an App State game at USM, I think Troy plays UAB, and then the NO Bowl.

Because the top of our leagues basically will not play each other, we'll never really get the opportunity to see. Both ULL and ASU have games next year against top teams from the MWC, and the league has a bunch of future games locked up with the MAC and AAC, but nothing against CUSA.

You guys would be saying the same thing if the situation was reversed.

Smacktalk is when one looks down one's nose while claiming to be better than another despite all evidence to the contrary.

As for the thread about Rice, it was started because the game between the C-USA champ and Mississippi State was, for me, the most interesting game of the day. While I had not predicted a Rice win like many C-USA homers, I honestly thought Rice would make a much better show for the conference and the G-5's than that disastrously, dismal, limp-wristed performance on national TV.

BTW, speaking of smack, I recall at least one Rice poster informing the C-USA board that Rice was merely bidding its time in C-USA, was better in all respects than the lowly C-USA, and would kiss the conference good bye at the first opportunity. Needless to say, that buttwipe has been missing in action for over 24 hours.

UTSA is 4-1 vs current Sun Belt members.
