They are low esteemed CUSA obsessed people esp from troy, lala, state and south alabama who talk nothing but crap about CUSA. I do not know what their problem is but they are ******* mad that UTSA, ODU and Charoltte got invited to CUSA instead of them. Should we care? absolutely not

Since you've asked. ODU feels lucky and proud to be invited to join CUSA. I personally feel Sunbelt will improve with time but i dislike all that bitching they do about what CUSA does and how our teams fare. They need to focus more on their stuff rather than bitching and moaning at CUSA schools. I understand their frustration but bitching and moaning is not gonna get anything done. There you go.

The obscurity of the conference doesn't even afford them the opportunity to play in bowl games. It's understandable why they feel the way they do. But in the end, it doesn't matter.

Facttalk, not smacktalk.

Smacktalk is when one looks down one's nose while claiming to be better than another despite all evidence to the contrary.

As for the thread about Rice, it was started because the game between the C-USA champ and Mississippi State was, for me, the most interesting game of the day. While I had not predicted a Rice win like many C-USA homers, I honestly thought Rice would make a much better show for the conference and the G-5's than that disastrously, dismal, limp-wristed performance on national TV.

BTW, speaking of smack, I recall at least one Rice poster informing the C-USA board that Rice was merely bidding its time in C-USA, was better in all respects than the lowly C-USA, and would kiss the conference good bye at the first opportunity. Needless to say, that buttwipe has been missing in action for over 24 hours.

Hmmm...Okay...What's the Sun Belt's bowl record so far? Conference USA is 3-3.

The best part of it is every single team in that conference would jump to CUSA in a minute.

Pretty much sums it up. At least CUSA has more than 2 opportunities to prove itself in a bowl game.

Hmmmm, and now that you say that, it makes the statement above, "CUSA will be back soon", all the more interesting. Which CUSA? I hate agreeing with Savadrool but he may have a point.

CajunFanatico loves those stats because without analyzing the data, it apppears the SBC is better than C-USA. He of course, doesn't want to listen when anyone mentions that nearly all those SBC wins were by the top of the SBC against only a couple of the perenially bad C-USA teams. Rarely does a top C-USA team play a SBC team or even a bad SBC team. It's good message board fodder but it's misleading.
