Let's put this in perspective you have 25k fans and we have put 20-25k more than you in our stadium since our last expansion. There is no one even close to being in the conversation with the package we have.

Are coach makes more than yours....

You are special. We average more fans at our basketball games than ECU. ECU averaging 40k fans per game is a recent development, which happened to coincide with your best run in your program's history. During our best run in our program's history, we also increased our fan base. It's nothing short of a miracle that we averaged approximately 28k during the worst 8 years of the last 40 years of Marshall football.

Here's the bottom line: Marshall football is better than ECU football. Marshall basketball, as terrible as it is, averages more fans per game than ECU basketball. Marshall has more tradition in both sports. Literally the ONLY category where ECU is better than Marshall is the number of fans who attend home football games. We take more fans to ECU than ECU brings to Huntington.

So congrats. Good luck on your continued irrelevance in the AAC.

Oh attendance smack...you win. Lol, you are so delusional. You are not as BIG as you think you are. Sorry. With all your incredible talent, fan support, and brick and mortar superiority you were still unable to beat our small and insignificant directional program. OUCH!

Dude, Huntington is not a large town in a small state with another much larger program. If WVU continues to suck, Marshall will have the fans. Huntington lives and dies by the Herd. You have absolutely no idea what you are speaking about, but keep pretending that corvette is parked outside.

ECU fans are like FUC fans.

It's funny how in 1 year I went from having a ton of respect for Marshall fans and hating UCF fans to feeling the exact opposite. I'm about to enjoy watching UCF playing in a BCS game.

Congratulation on your win and your first east division title (still no Cusa Championships in your nine year history). Also congratulations on your overall 33% (5-10) winning record against ECU. History tells us about a program and one game tells about a season. 02-13-banana

Kentucky consistently draws very well for football. They do not have a good football program.

Attendance, as a measure for the prowess of your football program, is a hollow stat.

Wrong. We averaged 42k in 1999 and were high 30's in the early 2000's. We haven't been below like 42 or 43k in 7 years and just had 50k, 100% capacity a couple years ago. Let me repeat 50k, you can't sniff our jock strap.

2013....25,023
2012....24896
2011....25874
2010....27046
2009....22236
2008....24776
2007....30,020 (West Virginia visited)
2006....26031

Lot more like 25k is your norm if WVU isn't carrying you, which is what we did back in the late 70's small fry. I can find you several D1aa programs that do as good as you most years. D1aa.

By what about 1k if that? Wow. That really makes up for the 25k we blow your football team away with and double them up in the money maker/attendance sport.

On basketball I wonder how having UConn, Cincy, Memphis, and Temple in the arena will affect that moving forward. In old CUSA before you go here we were at around 5500 most of years which I expect is a good indication. Football has been top 40 in attendance. Baseball has been top 15. Basketball has put 5900+ in the arena for as season. You haven't got a fanbase like ours and never will be on our level. Go talk to App State or JMU cause that's who you look like on a gameday, we look like any number of mid level BCS schools.

I see you learnt that good WV english. At the end of the day...Marshall is still a little fish in a tiny state that is currently dying a slow death (which I hate and fully blame the EPA and egregious federal regulations). Hell, the population of Pitt County, NC is ~1/11 of the entire state of West by God Virginia...and it's actually growing unlike WV (who was one of two states to see a decline in population). Marshall will quickly fade further in to insignificance as they play no one OOC and continue their failure to win CUSA. LOL at whomever said Marshall is a national brand. Enjoy. Good luck to most of the rest of CUSA.
