Going to be a great atmosphere for the Wave's last game as a C-USA member.

I'd bet 30-35% will be Greenies but, yes, Cajun fans will outnumber Tulane.

RE: New Orleans Bowl: Over 50K Tickets Sold
The NOB people are smart. I said this back when some folks were predicting Tulane would go anywhere else but New Orleans that the executives that run the bowl have figured out that: (1) It's better for them as a bowl entity on the business side if they create a matchup that sells the most tickets even if it's at the expense of bring people in from out of state and (2) it's better for the city if they do likewise all because New Orleans is somewhat unique. If you have 50-60K attending they will spend a crap load more money in that city than if you have two teams from out of state where you only have 30K show up. Those hotel stays don't make up the difference. Doesn't even come close, and I bet a bunch of Cajun fans get hotels down on the French Qtr anyway, because none of them will be sober enough to drive back.

It's not rocket science. It's economics.

Tulane U will have much more than 20K fans; heck, North Texas traveled 17,000 to a NO's Bowl game last decade and that was for a Tuesday night game to boot.

GMG!

It will be about 60-40% in favor of ULL in my estimation. This is not your typical watch-Tulane-get-anihilated home game against Syracuse or Navy. Tulane football has a lot of momentum right now.

Because this is the 3rd year in a row for them. I'll say 35-40K. I'll count and get you an exact number.
IF my number is 44999 or less, I'll want unmarked bills is 50s and 20s.

Southern Muss outnumbered Tulane every year we played them down there. It won't be any different in this game. Plus ULALA is an instate rival

I'm excited to see how Tulane fans show up for this one. According to Google Maps, Lafayette is about 2 hours from NOLA. In North Carolina, that's like driving from Charlotte to Chapel Hill. UL-LA has the chance to get to 9 wins so I think they'll show up pretty well.

It is also the second time they are playing you, an in-state foe, since 2000. That will bring them out.

Considering Tulane has 10,000 seats in corporate sales and another ~10,000 bought from Tulane by fans so far.... we're already at 20k.

30-35% Greenies??? So you're saying out of 50,000 fans, 17,500 of those fans will be Tulane???

I thought they all lived under the dome during the non-bowl season anyway.

My guess is that ULL will have about 35K while Tulane has about 10K

And you would be wrong. But nice try, sparky.

Easily. Selling tickets has never been a problem for Tulane. Getting buyers to use those tickets has.
You guys might also look at how these teams with these big "Fan bases" are broke. How does that happen?
