RE: A new Woloism
He referred to UAB in our last game as the team Memphis had beaten 13 in a row,

Man oh man...at that time it was 14 wins for Memphis over UAB in a row.

I mean- how could he miss that one. Sloppy sloppy sloppy.

Just to be clear, in case Dave reads this forum- it is now 15 wins for Memphis over UAB in a row. That is 15 straight wins in spite of the game being the biggest game on the schedule for UAB. Hear me Dave!!?? 15 consecutive spirit sapping for UAB wins.

That is 15.

Thanks to the OP for pointing our that Dave indeed makes some inconsequential mistakes (be my friend please- I mean all you guys like to tease Dave right- would have been a more accurate post)- such as thinking Memphis, at the time, had only ripped out UAB's relatively small fanbase's heart only 13 in a row instead of what was 14, and is now 15.

Kudos.

I doubt it, I think he probably meant David Bowie now that he is in his golden years.

As opposed to when he was a Young American.

But the question is, does he shoot 80% from the 55-yard line?

And was he shooting the free throw left to right on your radio dial.

That was a Big Jack saying that Wolo copied

In the UALR game, I was listening to part of it, and Tigers foul a UALR player. Wolo said "and he is the wrong person to foul. He never misses. He shoots 80% from the free throw line!"

dave woloshin is the most ill-prepared play by play guy in sports. He is simply terrible and I feel embarrassed for him sometimes when forced to listen.

Of all Wolo's disgustingly embarrasing moments, when Cal asked him how far the free throw line is from the basket.....Wolo having no clue whatsoever, was the pinnacle. Wolo is a sad excuse for anything related to sports. Plus he's kind of arrogant.

A lot of announcers have used that. It dates back to analog radio dials. Hasseltine says it to on Grizzlies broadcasts.
