If this is true, you will likely go through something similar to what we did under Fedora. In other words, you will have a few years where he learns on the job, followed by excellence parlayed into a bigger job. That should at least be more stability than what you have had the last three years. He will recruit fairly well, which has to be a problem for an Arkansas based school, although proximity to Memphis helps you guys.
Good Luck, and you guys are welcome on our schedule as far as I am concerned.

Recruiting is really not a big issue. We recruit Alabama hard, and sneak into Texas when we get the chance. The advantage to having all sorts of coaching changes is that we pretty much tell any recruit who commits that they are committed here regardless who the head coach is. If they don't want to do that, we wish them well and send them on their way.
As for Anderson, its not a done deal yet. Our AD is still being our AD and keeps going back to Chad Morris agent with contract offers. At last word, we were approaching 1.2 million dollars. Anderson is the backup plan.
Anytime you guys want a game, have your people call our people.

Looks like Anderson is official. Just waiting on the release from the Athletic Department. I think we're losing our DC though, which stinks.

We'll finally get an answer on Blake Anderson as an HC then. That sounds interesting.

And naturally, all major news sources quoting this as fact have backed off and we are back to waiting. I really hope we didn't screw this up somehow.

Now that it's official, what are ASU fans saying?

Mixed reaction early. The problem was that the top two were Anderson and Chad Morris...and everything from Chad Morris appears to be a step down.
There's also your typical reaction from the dual Arkansas/ASU fans that think we should have hired John Thompson
However, the majority of our loyal and true fans are happy with the hire. There are questions like any hire about what kind of staff he'll bring, and how our players will adjust to a coach that I hear is not as player friendly as we have had, but we like the offensive numbers.
We've also got a Redshirt Freshman QB that's in line to start next year that we would love to see under Anderson's coaching.
Maybe he'll stay longer than a year!
