We were told there was no space for another belt team with the troy game every year. Maybe my recollection was off bit I recall uab not being interested.

Ah, maybe they only wanted one Sun Belt team a year. Troy is off schedule after next year. GSU in 2015-2016. I think regional H&H with Belt or AAC teams is the best way to go.

The distance or lack thereof is hard to ignore. It's a nice weekend road trip for their fans.

I hope this doesn't mean UAB is going to bail out of its annual beating by Troy. I think the Troy-UAB contract ends after 2014.

Troy wanted basketball series attached to football series. I think that's a fair deal but I'm not in charge of scheduling. Troy's RPI can't be worse than some of our new conference mates.

It really is a perfect series for those two programs. I have a feeling these two programs will have the same history over time.

It was a chance for me to attack both, GaSt and UAb lack of fan support in one post. I could not pass that up.

After all, that is my favorite past time, that and dumping on Idaho.

There seems to be conference wide avoidance of playing SBC schools in CUSA. Former Members are avoiding us entirely, and the older members seem content with one team each.

I know ASU has found it virtually impossible to get a CUSA team to play us. Though I imagine no one would voluntarily want to load up with ASU or ULL right now.
