Also there is a generational change from even 7-10 years ago. Students now live in a far more technical, online world. If they don't have wifi and a 40 inch screen they are going to lose interest fast. It's a more cynical generation for whom school school spirit is a bit too 1994.

Not sure cynical is right word or that they don't have school spirit. Maybe they're just less interested in football. Nothing wrong with that.

Not overflowing, we also play in a stadium that is currently bigger then our program. Hopefully we will catch up, or get that OCS that is of better size for us.

That has to do with what? Have you played ULL, stAte, Troy, ULM?

UAB vs GaSt is a perfect matchup. Aside from their geographic proximity, the two programs have much in common with their tradition, attendance, fan bases, and hometown support. I think the two schools should play annually at the neutral site of Finley Stadium in Chattanooga.

The game could answer the philosophical question: "If two college teams play a football game and no one watches, did it happen?"

UAB stays at a hotel before home games, so I know they will get at least one night in Atlanta.

What it likely means for both schools is that you can do a Friday walkthrough on your own field and stay at a hotel in your own city and then bus over the 2.5 hours on Saturday.

This is great for students who can just simply make a day trip out it.

Remember that UA-Tuscaloosa and UA- Birmingham have the same BOT. UAB is the buffer between Troy and USA equalizing with UAT. If you Troy and USA pass UAB on the pecking order...well then you are vying for attention with UAT.
