I think the time and date of the Bowl is highly questionable...2PM on Monday the 23rd.

2PM? On a Monday?

ESPN clearly didn't want to conflict with their Monday Night football game later...but even 5PM would be better.

If true, some will be upset... but the opponent will be a good one and Tampa is a good destination. Hopefully, we'll get out of there with a win.

More than some will be upset. It's a very bad venue for football, the opponent will not draw their own fans or any real local interest (Toledo or Buffalo) - though they will be good enough to win it, the city isn't a good destination (sorry, I lived there), and the time is the very worst of all bowl games in my opinion. We got what we earned though.

It's a baseball field in a dome. That's what's wrong. What makes it worse is a dome in FLORIDA. It's one of the first bowl games, against the MAC. St. Pete is like in the worst part of Tampa.

quit yer bitchin' it's post season football. take our word for it; we lost our minds about hawaii, but that looks pretty damned good to every one of us right now.

anyway, the point is that post-season football is an easy thing to take for granted. after 10 or 15 years straight, you really don't understand how much it sucks for the last game on the schedule to be the end of the line.

I don't think the opponent is known yet. It probably is a MAC team, but it could be an ACC team. So it could be Buffalo, Toledo, Boston College, Syracuse or Pitt.

It's not gonna be an ACC team...

And to make matters worse ECU fans will likely stay away from this game in droves and cost us financially. Just the worst possible case scenario all around.

It's better than not making a bowl, but it's the worst bowl of the entire bowl lineup this year. It's so bad I was hoping for Hawaii and no one hopes for that.

Unless you are in a BCS bowl, these are all just for fun. Extra practice time is extremely important.

I read this on another board. It looks like the MAC is the backup on this bowl, because the AAC can not fill that spot. Some ACC teams are supposedly trying for the AAC's slot, which is why it is probably still tbd.

the only one that gives me trouble (well, of the bowl games held within the continental united states) is the thing at legion field. my wife has said that she will never go back to that one. I think it was the 7-11 that was fully encased in cyclone fence that did it.

...guessing it'll be Toledo from the MAC in Beef O Brady's.
