RE: Damien Wilson
This place has gotten worse than CatPiss. As usual Tiger fans here can’t wait to jump players and throw them under the bus. Most of you SOS jokers don’t seem to realize King, Austin, Dom, Pellom, Dix, got here on time while Iverson had to wait until the eleventh hour to be cleared.
Eating “Their Young” apparently is commonplace here.

RE: Damien Wilson
My personal opinion is Damien has earned his time with his production while in the game (notwithstanding his effort/attitude yesterday) and Kuran has earned a ticket to sit on his arse. Kuran needs time to develop so let him do it in the Finch center this year. Then hopefully both will be around next year to reap the benefits.

WTF? This thread is about Damien Wilson and his attitude during the game. A few people didn't like some K.I. mistakes. What fanbase is throwing K.I. under the bus? This is the reason for so much drama. You and others like you, are the real trouble makers. People see what happened during the game, they come and discuss it with other TIGERS fans. If you don't like what is written, I suggest you stay away. All this melodramatic, "throwing players under the bus and eating their young" ****, should be stopped. TC must have gotten to you to, had you believing K.I. is more of the player he describe, than the freshman I said he would be. I love K.I.'s potential, but right now he's a freshman that's learning to play D1 ball. Now, how did TIGERS nation throw him under the bus?

RE: Damien Wilson
The story of Damien Wilson confuses me. i know we have a lot of talent this season, but how is Damien going to ever develop without playing time? he's raw yes, but with all the blow out wins in CUSA last year, and the cupcakes so far this year, i don't understand how he doesn't get at least 10 minutes per game. I understand that in the bigger games we need to tighten the belt and play a 7 man rotation. but the majority of our games are going to be such blow outs that we can extend the rotation of 10+ minutes to 10 players. This would develop players and get them ready for senior and NBA departures.

Damien is good against the press. Since we've stopped pressing he's not as good in the half court game

I agree with this. I went to see oak hill play Melrose and Wilson didn't start. When he got in the game he did about what he does for us, which is to say he doesn't do a whole lot. People sitting around my dad and I were saying things like, "that is our recruit?, well it looks like we chose the wrong guy." and "we chose a player that doesn't start on his high school team?" Meanwhile, you could see how good Markel Crawford could and probably will be. I believe Crawford scored 18 points in the fourth quarter against a very good oak hill team.

Yep,the highlights of Crawford for that game is on YouTube...he looked liked the best players on the floor that game.

I came away very excited about Markel. I feel confident that Markel will flourish here. He is very competitive and plays hard. He already has a good strong body, I will be excited to see him play next year.

RE: Damien Wilson
I would love to see Damien start and be the defensive ace the first round of Josh's break down of 5 ( 4 )minutes rounds per half. I love his length, speed, first step and how he attacks the rim.
I would hate to lose this kid.

I would think Shaq is talking to him in a positive way, during this time.

I agree. If you can believe it, we have "fans" that insisted that NONE of our guards knew how to feed the ball into the post, and that is the reason why Tarik Black wasn't a world beater. Can you imagine; blaming Black's failures on our guards?
How funny is that?

After we got the snot kicked out of us. I think there's obviously something going on with Damien. I don't recall ever seeing him cop an attitude before. He's a tall, left-handed wing who has shown glimpses of talent but just hasn't had a lot of opportunities. On this team, you have to earn them, and that kind of attitude isn't going to help matters any. Hope he shakes it off and comes back around.

Have you watched any games since then?

He's tired of hearing "next year". In his mind, he doesn't have time to waste. He was visibly upset, because he IS upset. Would not surprise me AT ALL if he transferred. Maybe even at the end of the semester. I hope not, I like Damien...but I couldn't blame him. Gotta do what's best.

I hope he stays and gets an education and contributes to the Tigers team. He has a fine opportunity here to get a diploma and play on one of the elite teams in the country. Things could be a LOT worse.
